China is the world’s largest producer of rice bran, laying a solid raw material foundation for the production of high-quality rice bran ceramide. Rice has been cultivated in Ankang City, Shaanxi Province for over a thousand years, and the local rice bran, as the core raw material for rice bran ceramide extraction, can adapt well to the local climatic and soil conditions, ensuring stable raw material quality.
In recent years, the standardized planting area of rice in Ankang City has maintained a stable growth, with an annual output of fresh rice exceeding 1.5 million tons, and the annual output of rice bran available for ceramide extraction reaching more than 150,000 tons, providing sufficient raw material supply for the large-scale production of rice bran ceramide.
Ankang City, located in the Qinba Mountains, is the dominant rice planting area in Shaanxi Province and one of the first cities in China to develop the rice bran deep processing industry, including rice bran ceramide extraction. At the same time, Ankang is one of the rare selenium-rich regions in China, known as the “Selenium Valley of China”.
According to the data, Ankang has the largest selenium-rich area in China, with 81.87% of the city’s soil area being selenium-rich.
